Healthy Teeth Mind concept
Taking care of teeth and mouth will result in having pleasant breath, a nice smile, and save you a lot of money. Everybody knows how expensive it is to go to dentist.
We all especially our children should learn how to take care of their teeth and mouth. These are some steps we better follow and teach our children to follow as well:
• Brush your teeth at least twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste.
• Floss your teeth at least once a day.
• Don't smoke or chew tobacco, which can stain your teeth, give you bad breath and cause cancer.
• Wear the right protective headgear while playing contact sports.
• See your dentist every 6 months for regular check-ups and cleanings.
• Ask your doctor if your medicines have side effects that might damage your teeth. (For example, some medicines may cause you to have a dry mouth.)
• Look inside your mouth regularly for sores that don't heal, irritated gums or other changes.

Week 4, Wiki & Web 2.0
Perhaps Twitter and Facebook are among the most popular online social networking services that concentrate on creating online communities of people in order to share their ideas , thoughts, and interests. Unlike those social networking, blogs can be looked at as a daily or weekly updated online personal journal. Blogs can be consider a place where you can express yourself to the world. On the other hand, RSS is a way of keep tracking of the most updated information of interested websites. Instead of creating a bookmark and visit each preferred bookmark individually, you can subscribe to any website and get up to date information sent to your RSS feed reader to read them in your own time. This week we are going to learn wikis, as I have learned, wikis is a live editable database or interlinked webpage that contains live comments of visitors. Unlike blogs where the contents of the page come from one author, wikis can have several authors in coordination. Personally, I have never used blogs, RSS, or wikis, these tools are very useful, more specifically in education. Teachers can argue and discuss the subject or problem in the course life and easily. Students can create their own RSS’s to get the most updated information in any field of science or technology. Any student can create a wikis and have a live discussion of class materials or projects. Thanks to Professor Brain and his class EDT5410 who shel some light s on these useful tools.
Imagine all students in EDU5410 class were familiar and used wikis before, Dr. Brain would have been able to conduct the class using wikis and we would not have been sad for missing our lovely class last Monday due to snow storm.
The internet is becoming more user- centric platform rather than an information resource. Recently, most internet applications such as Web 2.0 are tended to run on a network not on a pc and becoming more user - created contents. User are more involving in creating the contents of the websites and becoming co - developers. We have to be very careful in differentiating between website like Wikipedia encyclopedia, where written by anyone who wants to and the specialized website like Mayo Clinic where health doctors and researchers are involved as co - developers. I like the idea of involving users to add values to the application. Again the users need to be not any users, at least the ones who are expert and familiar with the subject. I totally agree that “ Software is above the level of a single device”. It is true that the internet is no longer accessing a single pc or several pc’s, rather it accessing network of thousands may be millions of pc’s, websites, and applications.
